How we research

Product prices

• Prices and sales counts come from Shopee Malaysia listing data for the specific item linked, captured on the date shown on the page.
• Prices move and ours will sometimes be stale. Shopee runs frequent vouchers and flash pricing, so treat a price here as the figure at capture time, not a quote. The date is on the page for that reason.
• We link a specific seller, usually an official brand store. A cheaper listing from an unverified seller is often a different or repackaged product, so we do not chase the lowest number on the marketplace.
• Counts in headings are counted from the data, not rounded up. If a page says ten products, there are ten.

Clinic listings

• Listings are compiled from public sources and, where a clinic appears on an official register, we record which register and when we read it.
• We distinguish a dermatologist from an aesthetic practitioner.“Dermatologist” is a protected specialist title in Malaysia. We do not apply it to a clinic unless the practitioner holds the specialist registration, and we say which is which.
• A listing is directory information. It is not a recommendation, not a referral, and not a statement that a treatment is suitable for you.
• Ordering on a city page is stated on that page. Where any placement is paid, it is labelled as such in plain text and sits outside the ranked list.

How we make money

Product links are affiliate links: if you buy, we earn a commission from the marketplace at no cost to you. It does not change which products we include or the order they appear in. Clinic listings are free and we do not currently charge clinics for placement; if that changes, paid slots will be labelled before they appear.

Limits worth stating

• We do not test products in a lab. We compare formulations, prices and what the seller and the ingredient list actually say.
• Skin is individual. A product that suits most people can still cause a reaction, and nothing here accounts for your medical history.
• Our clinic coverage is not exhaustive. A clinic missing from a city page has not been judged and excluded; it has usually not been added yet.
